Comparing conservation agriculture with the conventional alternative

This presentation was made at the Landbouweekblad Conservation Agriculture conference held virtually on 27 and 28 July 2021.
The costs and the benefits of climate-smart conservation and regenerative agriculture with that of conventional agriculture is compared in a typical farming context in South Africa. It is indicated that, when holding the macro-assumptions constant and using actual farm data that conservation agriculture is far more sustainable, financially and otherwise.
