Testing the 19 POP SCOUTS Build Order in AOE2 1v1 Ranked

This AOE2 scout rush build order can be done with any civ at 19 population rather than the standard 20 or 21 pop scout rush. Here I test it on the 1v1 ranked ladder.

This aoe2 scout rush build order is an aggressive strategy that any civ can do. This scout rush aims to be quicker than other builds so that you can attack the enemy before they have chance to fully wall their base. The 19 pop aoe2 scout rush will enable you to research double bit axe and horse collar upon reaching the feudal age and maintain villager and scout production. In this video, I use saracens as an example due to their lack of eco bonuses, giving them an edge. With some civs, like mongols, Lithuanian and franks, a faster, civ specific aoe2 scout rush build order would be better. This aoe2 scout rush involves pushing 3 deer but push a 4th if you have it.

The age of empires 2 scout rush is great for causing some early damage to you opponents. If done properly the aoe2 scout rush can harass enemy economy causing delays to your opponent and hopefully killing some villagers. Beware though, your opponent could wall up before your scout rush in aoe2 gets chance to cause damage or they could make spearman your counter your scouts so make sure you scout their base fully before committing to the aoe2 scout rush and make sure that you use hit and run tactics on the villagers and run away from the spears.
