“Effectual Calling: 100% ‘Success’ Rate!”

The effect of false teaching, or of NO teaching, is misery, hopelessness and despair that leads to all
kinds of EVIL!

God’s purpose in “election” is that those who are saved will understand His love and grace in
Christ and will respond in thanksgiving and praise!

God sovereignly and effectually calls to Himself EVERY ONE whom He has chosen before the world
began!

I. God’s revelation and “call” through His creation …

God’s call to believe in Him as the Creator and to submit to Him and to obey Him reaches every
human being.

The “problem” of the human race lies in the human heart that is turned away from our Creator
and that refuses to submit to Him!

The “root cause” of all that is evil in human behavior is REBELLION!!

God’s revelation in nature calls all of mankind to bow the knee and to worship our Creator … but
they WILL not!

II. God’s “universal call” in the Gospel …

God decides who will hear the Gospel and how they will hear it.

No other nation on earth knew God or heard His Word, and God had chosen only a remnant of
Israel to hear and believe in the coming Messiah, and so be saved.

“For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because
they were not united by faith with those who listened.” - Hebrews 4:2

In fulfillment of God’s plan and His promise to Abraham, God has sent His Word, the Gospel, out
to all nations.

All four groups hear the Gospel, but only those who are “good soil” produce a crop … are saved!

When it comes to the proclamation of the true Gospel, God’s Word ALWAYS accomplishes HIS
purpose.

“For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are
perishing.” - II Corinthians 2:15

III. God’s “effectual call” of every one whom He has chosen!

God begins the work of saving His elect and He will bring it to completion.

God’s call to His chosen children is 100% effective!!

We who believe have placed our faith in Jesus because GOD effectually called us … because He
first chose us!

God’s election and calling are confirmed through the work of the Holy Spirit.

There is no uncertainty in God’s plan to send Jesus to save those whom HE has chosen by His
sovereign grace!
